Description
A low calorie, whole grain, high fiber, no refined sugar and not too sweet granola bar that you can feel good about eating or giving to the kids!! If calories aren't a concern you could add in some nuts or mini chocolate chips as well.Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Difficulty: Low
Calories: 145
Ingredients
2 cups: Old fashioned oatmeal (uncooked)
1 cup: Fiber One cereal
1 cup: Wheat bran
2 1/2 cups: Krispy rice cereal
1/2 tsp: Salt
1/2 cup: Honey
1/2 cup: Sugar-free syrup (Mrs. Butterworth)
4 Tbsp: Light butter
1 tsp: Vanilla extract
2 large - beaten stiff: Egg whites
Methods/steps
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl mix together the oatmeal, cereals, wheat bran, salt and 1/3 cup of the PB2 powder. Set aside.
In a small sauce pan over medium heat, place the honey, syrup and butter. Cook and stir until butter is melted. Whisk in the remaining 2/3 cup of PB2 and stir until combined. A few small lumps is fine. Take off of heat and stir in vanilla.
Pour the heated mixture over the cereal mixture and toss to coat. Fold in the egg whites. Spray a large glass baking dish (13x11 or larger) with cooking spray. Pour granola mixture into pan and press firmly with your hands or a rubber spatula (spray either one with cooking spray to avoid sticking). Bake for 10 minutes.
Allow to cool and cut into bars. Place the bars onto a cookie sheet lined with foil about 1/2" apart. Bake for 8 minutes then carefully turn them over and cook for additional 5 minutes. Allow to cool.

Recipe Tips
Besides just being a delicious product, PB2 and Chocolate PB2 are incredibly versatile. Uses are limited only by your imagination! Some of our favorite ways to enjoy both PB2 and CPB2:
* When added to almost any tomato based dish – salsa, BBQ sauce, Mexican dips, spaghetti sauce – PB2 mellows out the acidic flavor of the tomatoes.
* Any fruit dipped in PB2 or CPB2 powder is delicious! Tip: Spoon PB2 or CPB2 into a zipper bag. Cut a banana into bite size pieces and place in bag. Zip bag closed and shake to coat the fruit – enjoy. This is an easy, kid friendly, healthy snack. Good with apples and pineapple too.

Additional Tips
If some of the end bars crumble a bit, then you can save them and use them for a yogurt or fruit or muffin topping. If you want a softer bar, then omit the second bake. 14 servings= 165 cals and 6g protein, 16 servings=145 cals and 5g protein, 20 servings= 116 cals and 4g protein.
